The Stressful Art of Getting Into RunDisney
If you’ve ever tried signing up for a RunDisney race, you know that getting into the event is a challenge all by itself. Registration day is a sport.
You need to:
Know the exact date and time registration opens.
Be logged in early.
Have your credit card ready.
Know your race distances.
Know who you’re signing up with.
If you hesitate—or misclick—there’s a good chance you won’t get in. Most races sell out in under an hour, sometimes in mere minutes. Preparation is everything!
What If You Don’t Get In? Don’t Panic.
If registration sells out before you grab a spot, you’re not out of luck. You actually have three paths:
1. Charity Bibs
Many charities partner with RunDisney. You commit to fundraising, and in return, you secure a bib. This is a fantastic option if you’re passionate about a cause.
2. Travel Providers (Our Favorite Option)
We’ve had great experiences with Destiny2Sport.com. They make the process simple, organized, and stress-free. Yes, the package costs a bit more, but it usually includes your hotel, and it eliminates the chaos of registration day.
3. The “Long Shot” App Method
There are apps and alerts that notify you when bibs reopen. I tried this for months—truly months—and every time I’d get all the way to entering my card info… only to be told it sold out again. For me, this was WAY more stressful. Destiny2Sport was the better choice.
Planning for Coast to Coast—Maybe!
I’m still not 100% sure I’ll complete my Coast to Coast this year. I may need to run Wine & Dine 2026, which I’m excited for—but it also overlaps with the final season of my son’s high school football career. So my husband and I are making backup plans and staying flexible.

Taper Week: Light Training & Packing All the Things
This last week before the race will be light and intentional:
Walking every other day.
Prepping race bags.
Choosing shoes (I always bring two pairs!).
Packing costumes with my daughter.
Planning road trip snacks and travel day details.
We’re driving down for this race, staying through Medal Monday, and then heading home. We also have a fun little side trip planned—more on that soon!

Come Say Hi at the Race!
I’m excited to meet new runners, reconnect with familiar faces, and soak in all the magic. If you see me out there, don’t hesitate to come say hi. Wishing everyone an amazing race and a magical Disneyland weekend! 🌟

The Journey of a Thousand Miles Begins with a Single Step
Your journey begins the moment you decide you’re worth the effort. Remember, we’ve got this—together. See you at the next run. 🏃♀️✨🏅
Why Running is More Than Just a Sport
Running isn’t just about crossing the finish line. It’s about the journey. Each mile tells a story. Each race is a new adventure. The thrill of the start line, the camaraderie of fellow runners, and the satisfaction of a well-earned medal—that’s what keeps us coming back for more.
The Magic of Disneyland and Running Combined
What makes the Disneyland Half Marathon special? It’s the magic of the parks combined with the thrill of racing. You run through iconic landmarks, surrounded by cheering crowds and Disney characters. It’s a unique experience that blends fitness with fun.
Tips for First-Time RunDisney Participants
If you’re new to RunDisney events, here are some quick tips:
Arrive Early: The earlier, the better. You want to soak in the atmosphere.
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water before and during the race.
Enjoy the Experience: Stop for photos, take in the sights, and have fun!
The Community of Runners
One of the best parts of running events is the community. You meet people from all walks of life, all united by a love for running. It’s inspiring! Share your stories, cheer each other on, and celebrate every achievement, big or small.
Final Thoughts on the Upcoming Race
As race day approaches, excitement builds. I can’t wait to lace up my shoes and hit the pavement. Whether you’re running your first race or your fiftieth, remember to enjoy every moment. The journey is just as important as the destination.
So, are you ready? Let’s make this race unforgettable! 🌈
